    Classic men’s style is always relevant. After all, it is a universal solution. This combination of clothes is easy to adapt for business meetings, office work, parties and important events. This style is not comfortable for betting on  Betlabel. This category includes not only the always elegant three-piece suit. We will analyze the basics of a classic wardrobe, and also touch on the topic of shoes and suitable accessories.

    Basic wardrobe with photos

    The basis of the “classics” consists of several things from which you can create a stylish look for any occasion. They are easy to combine with each other and with other things.

    • 2. Trousers
    • 3. Shirt
    • 4. Vest
    • 5. Cardigan
    • 6. Polo
    • 7. Coat
    • 8. Straight-cut jacket

    1. Jacket

    This is a standard single-breasted model made of wool or a combination of materials, the lapels of which reach 7-9 cm in width. Their shape can be any: pointed, rectangular, slanted. The collar is turned down, there is one central or two side slits. In some European countries, it is customary to wear items without slits.

    Such a model will fit well into everyday casual style if you combine it with jeans. In the classic men’s clothing style, it is combined with trousers with arrows, formal shirts, oxfords, derbies or brogues. As for the palette, it can be monochromatic (deep, rich) or striped/checkered.

    2. Trousers

    Usually reach the ankle or upper part of the foot in length. They have a straight cut or a slight narrowing at the bottom, made with or without tucks at the waist. The belt is located at the waist. Popular colors for trousers are gray, blue, brown. It is better to keep black options for more formal events.

    3. Shirt

    Traditionally, this is a model with elongated sleeves, a turn-down collar, a straight/semi-fitted/fitted cut and a monochromatic color. One breast pocket without a flap is allowed. The strictest rules concern the color combinations of the shirt and other elements of the outfit. Stylists advise having at least five shirts of different shades in your wardrobe.

    As for color combinations, then:

    white items look good with suits of any color;

    blue models are successfully combined with black, blue, gray items: pastel (sky, gray, pale cornflower blue) is in trend;

    the checkered option is preferable in combination with white and blue, black and white, black and beige, combined with plain suits.

    For informal meetings, the jacket is replaced by a cardigan.

    4. Vest

    An important element of the classic style of men’s clothing, it ensures that the shirt fits the body. A distinctive feature is the back made of satin fabric. The product can have one or two sides, and the depth of the vest neckline, the number of buttons vary depending on the wishes of the designer. If chosen correctly, the product completely covers the belt.

    The classic style assumes that a three-piece suit is sewn from one material. However, the back of the vest remains satin.

    5. Cardigan

    A type of short knitted jacket without a collar, which is fastened with buttons or a zipper. Usually equipped with a V-neck. It is made both loose and fitted. The length can be slightly below the waist or to the middle of the hips. As for the colors, blue, beige, gray, mustard, brown, and black options are relevant here.

    The item fits perfectly into the casual style. It is equally successfully combined with both colored T-shirts and white traditional shirts. It remains to add trousers or jeans, chinos or other shoes to get a stylish outfit. For formal events, it is better to buy dull models, slightly darker than the shirt and lighter than the jacket.

    6. Polo

    We must not forget about the polo shirt, which differs from the T-shirt by the presence of a turn-down collar and a small vertical fastener. It is acceptable as part of a classic man’s image in the summer. It is often used when creating looks for a business lunch or an informal meeting of colleagues.

    7. Coat

    You can distinguish the classics by the fact that double-breasted models are fastened with 6-8 buttons, and single-breasted ones with 3-4 buttons. The lapels are made sharp, the cut is straight or slightly fitted, and the length is to the middle of the thigh or knee. The tone is closer to the dark palette, but can also be beige or gray. It is acceptable to wear a coat over a business suit, as well as regular casual clothes: jeans, jumpers, pullovers.

    8. Straight-cut jacket

    Another wardrobe item that should not be forgotten. Externally, it can resemble a single- or double-breasted jacket. The length can reach mid-thigh, fastened with a zipper or buttons. The collar of the jacket is made turn-down or “stand-up”.
